Set Up a Disco Ball
A defining characteristic of Mamma Mia is its iconic disco soundtrack. There's no better way to reflect this theme than by hanging a disco ball at your party. If you're hosting your event outdoors, look for a tree with sturdy branches that can hold it without falling. You want to get it secured as flat as possible to avoid such a risk. Also, a nearby power source should be available so that it can easily plug in and spin throughout the evening (make sure the chord is marked or taped to the ground to prevent anyone from tripping over it). Any light source, such as a projector or spotlight, shining on your disco ball will make it glisten up above. Zip-tying a flashlight to the tree is a great option for home use as well.
Hang Paper Lanterns
Famolay Store’s paper lanterns are affordable and easy to set up. Just expand them carefully and place the wiring in, with the skinnier end going in first, allowing the holder to sit comfortably. That's it! They look super cool hanging around your Mamma Mia party location and are great decor for almost any outdoor movie event.
Dress the Table
If you plan on serving food, don't forget to decorate the table. Inspire the dining area with the coastal atmosphere of the Greek islands for your Mamma Mia night of fun. Add Lighting
Paul used uplights shining blue and white to give the backyard area a pop, matching the Greek theme of Mamma Mia. The market lights hanging above also looked really cool and allowed for enough lighting for guests to visit and enjoy their meals before the movie.

What’s a Greek-themed event without food? If you’re not one to cook, don’t fear. There are delicious, easy-to-make meal options for your Mamma Mia watch. A large charcuterie board with pita bread, crackers, feta cheese, carrots, pickles, and other items to dip into hummus makes a fantastic appetizer for crowds both small and large to enjoy. Greek salad is another easy-to-make choice that's perfect for serving before the main dish. Simply mix cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, and red onions together, sprinkled with feta cheese and vinaigrette, for a refreshingly healthy meal.
